Woodpecker Overview (2026): Features, Pricing & Limits

Woodpecker Overview

What a LinkedIn account costs on Woodpecker, the limits it sets by account type and the hours it sends in, and how much its API and MCP server reach.

Updated November 2026 · 12 min read

Woodpecker is a cold email tool that added LinkedIn as a second channel. From its own cloud it visits profiles, sends connection requests, direct messages and InMails from the LinkedIn accounts you connect, as steps in an email and LinkedIn campaign. A LinkedIn account costs $29 a month, and the limits are Woodpecker’s own defaults by LinkedIn account type, sent between 8 AM and 6 PM on weekdays. A $20 add-on opens a REST API and a hosted MCP server that build and run LinkedIn campaigns but do not send a one-off invitation or message.

How this page was madeEvery figure and quotation below was read off Woodpecker’s own site, help centre, developer documentation and changelog on 3 November 2026, and each page is linked in Sources. The page covers LinkedIn and the API and MCP around it, and prints the email prices only where the LinkedIn price is built from them. It describes the product and does not rank it. Where Woodpecker’s own pages disagree, every published reading is printed.

What Woodpecker is

“Woodpecker.co is a cold email and LinkedIn outreach tool for businesses that do outbound”, in its own words, and “it works as a broader outbound platform, not just a cold email sender”. It is run from Wrocław, Poland, and its listed company made its debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange’s main market on 19 April 2024.

LinkedIn arrived as actions inside Woodpecker’s campaigns: “profile visits, connection requests, direct messages, and InMails”. They run on Woodpecker’s servers: “This is cloud-based, meaning the actions will happen even if you turn off your computer.” Each action is sent from a LinkedIn account of your own, which you connect by entering its LinkedIn login credentials and then the verification code LinkedIn emails you. If the account has two-factor authentication, the help centre asks you to “disable it for the duration of the connection and try again”. Agencies can instead send a client a connection link, valid for 48 hours.

How LinkedIn runs in a campaign

A campaign is a sequence of email and LinkedIn steps. On the Multichannel plan the two mix in one campaign, and on the LinkedIn plan the campaign is LinkedIn only. Each LinkedIn step can carry up to five versions for A/B testing, and an InMail is limited to 1,900 characters.

  • Hours. “Those actions are sent within fixed hours between 8 AM and 6 PM, in your campaign’s timezone. Actions are performed only during weekdays”, Monday to Friday.
  • Rejections. When LinkedIn rejects a connection request or a message, the prospect gets the status “Paused (LinkedIn Action Rejected)” and the campaign stops for them until someone sets them back to active by hand.
  • Replies. LinkedIn replies arrive in Woodpecker’s inbox, and since October 2026 they can be answered there, with attachments.

Woodpecker can also collect the people who engaged with a LinkedIn post, enrich their profiles and save them to a list for a campaign.

Woodpecker pricing

Woodpecker meters email by emails sent a month and LinkedIn by connected account. The pricing page shows four plans, prices are in US dollars, and yearly billing saves 33% on email.

Plan Billed monthly Billed yearly, per month What it covers
LinkedIn $29 per LinkedIn account $29 per account, no yearly discount LinkedIn campaigns only
Multichannel From $68: 5,000 emails and one LinkedIn account From $55 “Email + LinkedIn in one campaign” and “All LinkedIn actions”
Email $39 for 5,000 emails, up to $999 for 1,000,000 $26 to $666 Email campaigns, warm-ups and Lead Finder credits
Scale “Custom” Custom “Higher email or LinkedIn limits”

The help centre puts the LinkedIn price the same way: “When connecting the account to Woodpecker, you purchase a LinkedIn slot, costing $29 monthly.” Team members are free on every plan. The API, webhooks, the MCP server, the CLI and the built-in CRM integrations are one add-on, “Integrations, API, webhooks, MCP, CLI”, at $20 a month. The trial lasts “14-day or 500 cold emails. Whichever limit you reach first applies”, with every feature and no card, and there is no free plan.

The limits Woodpecker sets

Woodpecker sets a daily limit per action for each connected account, by the account’s LinkedIn type, and the owner can change it in the account’s settings under “Daily LinkedIn limits”. The pricing page describes the numbers as set “to stay within LinkedIn’s limits for your account type (free or paid)” and adds: “Actual limits may be lower.”

Action Free (Classic) Premium and Premium Business Sales Navigator
Profile visits a day Up to 30 Up to 80 Up to 500
Connection requests without a note, a day 25 25 30
Connection requests with a note, a month 5 5 Not stated
Direct messages a day 50 50 250
InMails a month None 15 on Premium Business 50

On top of the daily numbers, “it is generally not recommended to send more than 100 invitations per week for deliverability reasons”. A new account needs a warm-up first, since “if you use a newly created LinkedIn account, you might get suspended by LinkedIn if they detect unusually high automated activity from it”, but no warm-up schedule is published, and neither is any spacing or randomization between actions. These are Woodpecker’s numbers. LinkedIn’s own published ones are compiled on LinkedIn automation statistics.

The Woodpecker API

“The Woodpecker API provides a RESTful infrastructure that allows you to manage your account, prospect list, campaigns, reports, mailboxes, and client accounts as an agency.” It lives at api.woodpecker.co/rest, takes a per-user API key in an x-api-key header, and comes with the $20 add-on, which trial users get too.

Its rate limit is unusual: “unlimited monthly calls while processing one request at a time and queuing up to 6 additional requests”, with anything beyond that answered with a 429, a queued request waiting at most 15 seconds, and limits “counted per account, not per API key”. Counted from the documentation index on 3 November 2026, the API has 102 distinct endpoints, 10 of them for LinkedIn. The count is ours, and Woodpecker does not publish one.

  • Campaigns. Multichannel, LinkedIn and email campaigns are created over the API, with LinkedIn steps for profile visits, connection requests, direct messages and, since May 2026, InMails.
  • LinkedIn endpoints. Listing connected accounts and their session status, reading the LinkedIn inbox and replying in a conversation, collecting and enriching the profiles that engaged with a post, and, for agencies, creating an account and its connection link.
  • No one-off sends. No endpoint sends a single invitation or message outside a campaign. Sends happen as campaign steps or as replies in an existing conversation.
  • Webhooks. 27 events, five of them for LinkedIn: an account connected or disconnected, a connection request accepted, a direct message sent and a reply received.

A command-line tool, released in May 2026, gives scripts and AI coding agents the same access from a terminal.

The Woodpecker MCP server

“The Woodpecker MCP (Model Context Protocol) server lets AI agents interact directly with your Woodpecker account.” The hosted server, launched on 30 July 2026, lives at https://api.woodpecker.co/mcp/v1, and you sign in with your Woodpecker account and approve the requested access, with no client ID or secret to paste. It works with Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT Desktop and Codex CLI. A local version runs as a Docker image with an API key.

  • Tools. 35 tools in five groups: campaign management, campaign control, steps, prospects and accounts.
  • LinkedIn. 10 of them build LinkedIn campaigns and steps, profile visits, connection requests, direct messages and InMails, and list the connected accounts. Sends start when the campaign is run. There is no LinkedIn inbox or reply tool.
  • Confirmation. No server-side preview is described. Approval sits in the client, where Claude’s connector settings let you choose per tool “whether Claude can use each tool automatically, with approval or not at all”. Two tools delete campaigns and prospects permanently.
  • Plans. The pricing page puts MCP in the $20 add-on, while the hosted server’s setup page lists only “A Woodpecker account and Claude” as the requirement.

The shape of job it fits

Woodpecker fits a team whose outbound is mostly email and that wants LinkedIn steps in the same campaigns, at a flat $29 a month per LinkedIn account and with team members free. The fixed weekday hours and the per-account-type defaults suit a team that wants sensible settings without tuning them. The API, the CLI and the MCP server make the campaign side scriptable, so an agent can build a LinkedIn campaign, add prospects and run it.

The edges come from the same design. LinkedIn sends only as campaign steps, so a product that needs to send one invitation or message on demand has no endpoint for it. The API processes one request at a time per account. Two-factor authentication has to be switched off to connect an account. And the sending hours are fixed at 8 AM to 6 PM on weekdays.

Woodpecker alternatives

GTM API is our own product, so it is listed first. The others are described from their own pages, in alphabetical order. They split by job: campaign apps priced per LinkedIn account, suites that put LinkedIn next to email, and APIs for building LinkedIn into your own product or agent.

Tool How it runs Price unit and entry API MCP server
gtm-api.com, ours, listed first A cloud browser and proxy per connected account, driven over REST or MCP Per connected account: free plan with one account and no card, then from $10/account Typed REST, one-off sends included, limits checked on the server before each call Hosted, 250+ typed tools, sends return a preview to confirm
HeyReach Cloud app that rotates one campaign across many connected senders Per sender: $79 a month on Growth, teammates free API and webhooks on every plan Hosted, per-workspace URL
Reply.io A sequencer for email, LinkedIn, calls and messaging Per user: LinkedIn included from $89 a month billed yearly on Multichannel REST v3 with LinkedIn sends Hosted, no LinkedIn sends
SalesRobot Cloud app with a dedicated IP per LinkedIn account Per LinkedIn account: $39 a month billed yearly on Basic REST, including connection requests and messages Hosted, sends included
Snov.io LinkedIn automation from Snov.io’s cloud, sold as a slot next to an email suite Per LinkedIn slot: $69 a month REST, no LinkedIn sends Hosted, sends invitations and messages

Read the table by job. Where email leads and LinkedIn rides along, Woodpecker, Reply.io and Snov.io all put the two in one campaign, at different prices per LinkedIn account. For LinkedIn campaigns across many accounts, HeyReach and SalesRobot are priced per account. Where LinkedIn has to run inside your own product or behind an agent, with a single send as one call, GTM API is built for that. Each campaign tool is read against the same eight safety controls on the safest LinkedIn automation tools.
