Free LinkedIn Automation Tools in 2026

Free LinkedIn Automation Tools in 2026

You want to try LinkedIn automation before paying for it, and almost every vendor says free somewhere. What that word buys you differs by a long way from one tool to the next.

Updated October 2026 · 20 min read

If you want LinkedIn automation for free, you are almost always looking at a trial that ends after a week or two. Of the 45 tools read for this page, six publish a plan with no end date, 36 offer only a trial and three offer neither. Just nine of the 37 trials print a cap.

Every quoted line in the table is the vendor’s own, from its pricing page or help center, read on 14 October 2026, re-checked on 27 October and linked in Sources. Free plans and trials sit in separate parts of the table, because a plan that never ends and a trial that turns into a subscription are different purchases.

The caps on every free plan and trial

Free plans with no end date come first, trials after them. Waalaxy appears in both parts because it runs both. The fourth column is the vendor’s wording. The fifth says what the free tier leaves out, and for a trial it also says what happens on the last day when the vendor prints that. Where a vendor prints no cap for its trial, the cell says so.

In scope are tools that act on a LinkedIn account, whether they run in a vendor cloud, a desktop app, a browser extension or behind an API. CRMs, inboxes and data APIs that never act on an account are left off. How LinkedIn automation runs, what it costs and the rules around it are on the LinkedIn automation hub.

What the six free plans cover

Six tools publish a plan with no end date, and no two of them cover the same ground.

  • ConnectSafely, a weekly post boost. The free plan boosts one of your posts a week and lets you write and schedule posts. Its API, MCP server and CLI sit in the paid plan at $10 per LinkedIn account a month.
  • Edges, 100 credits and one identity a month. An identity, in Edges’ own definition, is “One real LinkedIn or Sales Navigator account that sends invites, messages or InMails”, and the free tier renews monthly for personal use. A credit is one record returned, and a message costs a credit outside engagement mode.
  • GTM API, one connected account with every action capped per day. The UI, the REST API and the MCP server on one LinkedIn account, with no card. Five connection requests, 10 messages and 5 InMails a day are among the caps, and the full list is further down this page.
  • LeadConnect, a browser extension at 2 invites a day. The Free Forever plan lists up to 2 invites and 6 message credits a day and five templates, and a footnote says invites “could be limited by the number of invites allowed on your connected LinkedIn account”.
  • OutX, a listening plan. Two private watchlists and basic fetching, run through OutX’s Chrome extension. Credits and CSV exports start on the paid plans.
  • Waalaxy Freemium, a plan with no automation in it. The help center says Freemium users “can’t use any automation features” and can only import prospects from a CSV file. It is also where a canceled Waalaxy trial lands: “Your plan will automatically switch to Freemium version.”

What the 37 trials have in common

A trial lends you a paid plan for a fixed stretch of days. Read side by side, the 37 trials in the table split like this.

  • Length. 15 run 7 days and 15 run 14 days. Six publish no length (Buzz, Closely, Gojiberry, Leadspicker, LinkupAPI and MeetAlfred), and LinkedFusion’s homepage says 14 days while its features page says 7.
  • The card. 19 vendors say no card is needed to start. Three require one: Alsona, Valley and Waalaxy, whose trial turns into a paid plan unless you cancel it. The other 16 do not say on the pages read.
  • The caps. Nine print a number that limits the trial: HeyReach’s 3 LinkedIn accounts, La Growth Machine’s single identity, lemlist’s 200 credits, MeetAlfred’s daily limits of 30 invites and 50 messages, PhantomBuster’s 2 hours of execution and 10-row exports, Salesforge’s 50 contacts and 100 emails, Sonarly’s 500 credits, We-Link’s 100 API credits and Woodpecker’s 500 cold emails. Linked Helper prints the opposite for its trial, “every feature, no daily caps”.
  • The plan you try. Four of the trials that name a plan lend one above the entry tier: Advanced at Dripify, Business at Waalaxy, Pro at Linked Helper and Pro access at Taplio. What you see during those trials is more than the entry price buys afterwards.

What free costs you in limits and pacing

A trial on a freshly connected account is mostly warm-up. The vendors that publish a warm-up schedule start a new account slowly, and their schedules run longer than their own trials. Expandi’s warm-up starts at 5 actions a day and adds 3 every two days up to 21, so on the seventh and last day of its trial a new account is at 14. Skylead’s Warmup Mode “lasts for 3 weeks” against a trial of 7 days. Aimfox’s optional warm-up covers “usually the first two weeks”, the whole of its trial. Closely sends “3-5 requests per day” in the first week and “8-11 for the second”, and asks trial users to stay in warm-up mode. A trial on a new account therefore shows you the tool at the slow end of its ramp, which is also what the first weeks of the paid plan will look like.

A free plan with no end date trades volume for time. LeadConnect’s Free Forever plan sends up to 2 invites a day and GTM API’s free plan 5. The commonly observed ceiling on a free or Premium LinkedIn account is roughly 100 invitations a week, with a safe pace of 15–20 a day across about five sending days once the account is warm. At 5 a day over five sending days, a free account uses about a quarter of that weekly ceiling. The LinkedIn limits calculator works out a daily plan from an account’s age and history, and the weekly mechanics are on the LinkedIn connection limits page.

A credit allowance is a cap in another unit. Edges’ free tier holds 100 credits a month, Sonarly’s trial 500, lemlist’s 200 and We-Link’s 100 API credits, and each vendor prices its actions differently: Edges charges a message “0 credits in engagement mode and 1 credit otherwise”. Divide the allowance by the cost of the action you plan to run before you count on a number.

The gtm-api.com free plan in numbers

GTM API’s free plan, called Sandbox in the docs, gives one connected LinkedIn account the full product: the UI, the REST API, the MCP server and every LinkedIn action, with no card and no end date. It runs one parallel cloud-browser session and one webhook. The caps are per connected account, per day.

Action Per day
Connection requests 5
Messages 10
InMails 5
Profile visits 8
Posts 4
Comments, reactions, endorsements 5 each
Scraping actions 15
Enrichments 12
Data requests 20
Profile edits 2
Custom requests 9
Networking, general 6
Messaging, general 15

The table is the ceiling. A newly connected account starts below it, because smart limits warm it up toward the plan cap exactly as they do on a paid account, and they can be switched off per account. Inside the day, calls of one kind leave one at a time with a gap between them, on the defaults about 30 seconds between two connection requests. Team members and the AI copilot are off on the free plan, and each sync surface refreshes at most once every 24 hours. The sync budget, the webhook and the rest of the plan are walked through on the gtm-api.com free plan page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a free LinkedIn automation tool?

Yes, six tools publish a plan with no end date, and they cover very different things. ConnectSafely’s free plan boosts one post a week. Edges gives 100 credits and one sending identity a month for personal use. GTM API gives one connected account with daily caps on every action. LeadConnect’s browser extension sends up to 2 invites a day. OutX’s free plan is two listening watchlists. Waalaxy’s Freemium runs no campaigns. Every other tool read for this page offers a trial or nothing free.

What is the difference between a free plan and a free trial?

A free plan has no end date and caps what you can do, per day, per month or by feature. A free trial lends you a paid plan, sometimes a tier above the entry one, for a fixed number of days, and then it stops or turns into a paid subscription. Waalaxy runs both: Freemium, which has no automation, and a trial of its Business plan that needs a credit card and converts unless you cancel it.

Which free LinkedIn automation tools need no credit card?

On the free plans, ConnectSafely, Edges and GTM API say no card is needed. Among the trials, 18 vendors say the same, including Aimfox, Dripify, HeyReach, La Growth Machine, Linked Helper, PhantomBuster, Unipile and Woodpecker. Three trials require a card up front: Alsona, Valley and Waalaxy. The rest do not say on their pricing pages or help centers.

How many connection requests can a free LinkedIn automation plan send?

Where the vendor publishes the number: up to 2 a day on LeadConnect’s Free Forever plan, 5 a day on GTM API’s free plan, and none on Waalaxy’s Freemium, which cannot launch campaigns. MeetAlfred’s trial runs at up to 30 invites a day. For scale, the commonly observed ceiling on a free or Premium LinkedIn account is roughly 100 invitations a week, and LinkedIn does not publish it.

What happens when a free LinkedIn automation trial ends?

It depends on the vendor. At Dripify “nothing is charged automatically” and the account goes inactive. At Linked Helper “the trial simply ends and campaigns pause”. At Waalaxy, unless you cancel, “a monthly Business subscription will start automatically”. Valley asks you to cancel before the trial ends “to avoid starting the paid subscription”. Read the trial terms before you connect an account.

Does a free tool change LinkedIn’s own limits?

No. LinkedIn’s limits belong to the account, whichever tool sends and whatever it costs, and a free tier only adds the vendor’s own cap below them. LeadConnect says as much in a footnote on its pricing page: invites “could be limited by the number of invites allowed on your connected LinkedIn account”. LinkedIn publishes no numeric invitation cap, and the commonly observed ceiling is roughly 100 invitations a week on free and Premium accounts.

Does GTM API have a free plan?

Yes. One connected LinkedIn account with the UI, the REST API and the MCP server, no card and no end date, one parallel cloud-browser session and one webhook. The daily caps per account are 5 connection requests, 10 messages, 5 InMails, 8 profile visits, 4 posts, 5 each of comments, reactions and endorsements, 15 scraping actions, 12 enrichments and 20 data requests. Paid plans start from $10/account.
